April & May has seen 8 endurance athletes, connected to Osteopath West, complete 6 different Endurance events injury free. Events ranged from an ironman triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle & finish by running a marathon 26.2mile) to the Moon Walk (26.2 miles through the night).
First up was Marsha El Hage, an RGActive triathlon coach, completed her 3rd Ironman race in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Next came John Brame, another RGActive coach & Steve Hooley coached by John, who both completed 70.3 (1/2 Ironman) Majorca in early may.

Keeping with the Boys Ben Murrells and Ian Bell both completed another 70.3 (1/2 Ironman distance) in Austria in mid May. Rob Jeffery ran a good race completing the Comrades double marathon in Durban, South Africa a few weeks ago.
Gail Edmans completed her 5th Ironman race in Lanzarote at the end of May. A tough race especially for the bike leg which had 30mph+ winds. Gail is also going out of her comfort zone & embarking on a 2nd Extreme Ironman race in France in August the Embrunman.

Finally two contrasting events from Donna Baker who put her running shoes and bike away and completed the Moon Walk (26.2 miles) along the streets of London, through the night in late May & Carolyn Greensmith who cycled London-Paris 1-4 June.

A big congratulations to all of these ‘crazy’ athletes & good luck for the next event. Keep up the triathlon training with RGactive and let Osteopath West help keep those injuries at bay.
